Laddu Gopal idols are sold by size number (0 No, 1 No, 2 No and upwards). The number is the standard way brass Laddu Gopal idols are sized in India, and deity jewellery is made to match it. This chart shows, for each size, the standing-idol height that wears the same jewellery size, plus typical mukut and choker measurements taken from Kritima's own products.

Use it as a starting guide. Every product page lists its exact measurements and the sizes it fits, and these always come first.

How to measure your idol

  • Mukut: measure across the top of the head from one side to the other (the diameter where the mukut sits). Many listings also give an "ear to ear" width.
  • Choker and haar: wrap a thread around the idol's neck, mark it, and lay it flat against a ruler. Divide the length by 3.14 to get the neck diameter.
  • Bangles and payal: measure across the wrist or ankle of the idol.
  • Standing idols: measure the full height of the idol from base to top of the head, in inches.

Frequently asked questions

What does "No" mean in Laddu Gopal sizes?

"No" stands for number. Laddu Gopal idols are sold in numbered sizes (0 No, 1 No, 2 No and up); a higher number means a bigger idol. Jewellery and poshak are made to match these numbers.

My idol size isn't written on it. How do I find it?

Measure the mukut area and neck as shown above and compare with the chart, or WhatsApp a photo of your idol next to a ruler to +91 62677 19149 and we will tell you the size.

Can I use Laddu Gopal jewellery on a standing idol?

Often, yes. Many pieces fit both a Laddu Gopal size and a standing idol height; the chart shows the usual match, and each product lists both where it applies.

Should I choose the smaller or bigger size if I'm between two?

For chokers and bangles, choose the bigger size so they don't press on the idol. For mukut, the closest diameter usually looks best.
